A Dream of Nostalgia and Chaos
I’m trying to enrol in the post-16 programmes of my old school which I loved. It’s under new management but has retained a few of the people I loved working with before. The building is in chaotic. It is being rebuilt and is unfinished. As the day goes on, I am drowning in dust, thick and white like plaster.i decide I’m leaving and they try to retain me. I have been so upset, after an awful day where students mocked my foreign race, I’m Spanish by family and where I was being forced to do subjects I didn’t care about like technology. I leave broken hearted and some of the students really want me to stay.
